KANSAS CITY — SparkWheel is proud to announce it has received a generous $10,000 grant from The Kansas City Royals Foundation, the charitable foundation of the Kansas City Royals. This funding will directly support the implementation of SparkWheel's Integrated Student Supports (ISS) model in Kansas City-area partner schools, providing students and families with the resources they need to overcome barriers to success.
The ISS model is an evidence-based approach that addresses challenges impacting students’ learning, attendance, and overall well-being. By placing dedicated Student Support Coordinators in schools, SparkWheel customizes services for each community to ensure students have access to essential resources and personalized support.

Last school year, SparkWheel provided support services to nearly 4,000 students in the Kansas City metro area and distributed more than 28,000 essential needs items to families. This grant will further empower the organization to expand its impact, helping students achieve their full potential while strengthening communities.
