EMPORIA, KS - SparkWheel is thrilled to announce that The E.L. & Z. Irene Hopkins Foundation has awarded our organization a generous grant of $5,000 to support our Integrated Student Supports (ISS) programming at Emporia Schools. The E.L. & Z. Irene Hopkins Foundation, a private foundation dedicated to improving the quality of life for children and those who serve them, recognizes the critical role that SparkWheel plays in fostering student success.
In the quest for academic and life success, many students face daunting obstacles with limited resources. For more than 25 years, SparkWheel has been a reliable partner for schools and families, removing barriers, filling gaps, and championing students to help them thrive. Our dedicated and passionate staff work inside schools, alongside community partners, to support students in reaching their full potential.
Through SparkWheel’s Integrated Student Supports framework, we address both academic and non-academic needs, enhancing students' well-being and success in school. This evidence-based model helps students and families overcome challenges that hinder learning or prevent regular school attendance. We customize services for each school, placing a Student Support Coordinator in each location to provide tailored support for individual students and accessible resources for the entire student body.
We are proud to support students in four Emporia schools: Logan Ave Elementary, Walnut Elementary, William Allen White Elementary Schools, and Emporia High School. The grant from The E.L. & Z. Irene Hopkins Foundation will enable us to continue our vital work in these schools, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed.
“The generous support from The E.L. & Z. Irene Hopkins Foundation is instrumental in helping us sustain and expand our ISS programming,” said Noelle Haselhuhn, Director of Marketing and Communications at SparkWheel. “We are deeply grateful for their commitment to improving the lives of children and supporting the work of those who serve them. This grant will make a significant difference in the lives of the students we serve in Emporia.”
