Kansas City, MO – United Way of Greater Kansas City (UWGKC) has announced the selection of this year’s Impact 100 partners. This annual list is comprised of the hundred most vital health and human service organizations that United Way will invest and partner with to bring real-time solutions to the Kansas City community. SparkWheel was one of the partners selected.
Nonprofit organizations selected in this year’s Impact 100 submitted applications, which were reviewed by a diverse panel of community leaders. Each organization must meet a high bar of financial responsibility and be actively working to address the critical challenges facing the Kansas City region today. Impact 100 organizations will receive unrestricted funding from United Way to address their individual nonprofit’s most pressing needs.
“Our goal is to provide funding and resources that go beyond a check — we want to work closely with these organizations to create long-lasting, systemic change that solves real issues in our community,” said Chris Rosson, United Way President and CEO.
SparkWheel serves more than 4,200 students in the Kansas City Metro area schools. We work to remove barriers and provide those we serve with the tools and resources they need to thrive, now and into the future. SparkWheel is honored to be recognized by UWGKC for our work inside Kansas City schools.
“To those supporting our work in Kansas City, thank you. Your contributions help students overcome obstacles and reach goals. Because of you, students are surrounded by a team of caring individuals doing whatever it takes to ensure they succeed. You are a critical member of our team,” said Malissa Martin, SparkWheel President and CEO.
